My Reflection on Multimedia & Webpage Design
After taking the Multimedia & Webpage Design at Myers Park High School, I can say that I feel more comfortable about everything that I have learned in the class. I feel more comfortable making videos, creating mixed soundtracks, editing photographs, and designing my very own web pages. The class has also inspired for me to continue to practice the skills learned and developed from the class. Usually, whenever I learn something new, I don't take part in practicing what I just learned, and I end up forgetting most of what I remembered.
There are many jobs and careers that include some or most of the topics that I learned in class. If I were to be myself instead of acting like someone who I'm not, I get to show people who I truly am. Maybe the version of myself is better than the version of myself that I pretend to be. I know for a fact that I'm going to have an internship in engineering this summer, so I'm glad that I was able to take the class to get to know more about what I'm going to be working on during the internship.
If I were able to give any insight to a new, prospective student who wants to know about this class and/or instructor, I'd tell them that isn't like your typical core classes. Instead of having a teacher stand up in front of the classroom with a powerpoint on the whiteboard behind her while you take notes, the instructor for this class encourages you to include yourself in hands-on 21st Century activities and projects.
